Tracking In The Shadows at a Glance
Here at Tracking In The Shadows, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the life of an animal is a little support from the community. Since our founding in 2018, right here in Elkhart, Indiana, we have been determined to make an impact. The core of our efforts is to rehabilitate and find new forever homes for lost or abandoned pets.

Services
We focus on the recovery of at-large, fearful dogs by the way of humane trapping. Once safely caught, we try to locate an owner and/or rehabilitate them and get them into homes. We also offer lost dog consultations with pet owners who are trying to locate their dogs and bring them home.
Animal Training
Our fearful dogs receive one on one training or group training depending on their needs to help build confidence and to get them going in the right direction. The trainer we use is Sarah, who owns A Canine Story. They offer force free, positive reinforcement training for our dogs which has proven to be more than successful. Our end goal is to get them into homes and training is a major part of that journey.
Grooming
Some of our animals come into us in such poor condition that getting them cleaned up is part of their care. We have partnered with Serenity Pet Spaw in Mishawaka to make this happen. Michelle started her pet spaw with a passion for rescue animals. She knows that some have had hard lives and is committed to getting them back on track and into forever homes.
Veterinary Care
At Tracking In The Shadows, all of our dogs have an intake procedure we do with our vet, Parrett Veterinary Clinic in Plymouth Indiana. All of our animals get an overall assessment, vaccinations, Microchip, Spay/Neuter and any other services that they may need before adoption.
